“Ara” is the Latin name which designates the constellation of the Altar, located in the southern hemisphere between that of the Scorpion and the astral triangle. The Altar is identified in mythology as that of the Centaur Chiron.

To clean, use a slightly damp cloth (a micro fiber is great) and wipe your product with it. Please note, they are not designed to go in the dishwasher.
